Blessaglia,
S. Maria Assunta's Church
 |
 |
The church of S.Maria Assunta was consecrated in 1537.
Inside there is a fresco of scenes from the Virgins life with a banner of "the
Battuti brotherhood waiting to enter in a temple" considered to be of the school of
Pomponio Amalteo (second part of 16th century); on the walls, in dummy niches,
there are frescoes of the twelve apostles.
The Church of S. Susanna in the area of Belfiore (17th century) has one
nave only at the end of which there is a fine baroque altar with an original decoration
that gives it an illusory depth. |
